Janet Gomes, Department Chair
This is my second year at MHS. I began teaching high school special education thirty-two years ago and after spending the last seventeen years at Woodward Elementary, I took a leap of faith and decided to return to the high school world. I have been loving every minute of it and look forward to helping all my students succeed.
Adam Liel, Department Chair
This is my 25th year teaching Special Education and 27th overall at Manteca High. I have been the Department Chair for over half my time here as well as JV Football Coach for 14 years and Softball coach for 2 years. My goal is to help young people become successful adults. I am a proud Buffaloe alumnus!

This is my seventh year teaching, second in Special Education. I have taught from 6th grade through College level courses. I have an MBA is Organizational Leadership and Change Management. My varied background in education and the private sector helps me to connect the lessons with real life examples.
Paul Lyons IV
Currently in my 8th year of teaching and coaching. I have been at MHS as an Education Specialist the last 5 years and am glad to be working at the high school I myself am an alumni!
Priscilla Riddick
This year marks my 13th year teaching special education, and I have experience teaching all grades K-12th. I have also served as an admin. designee for 8 of my 13 years. Currently, I am one of the Varsity Flag football Coaches here at MHS, Go Buffs!
Mark Ruiz
This is my 8th year of teaching. I am in my 7th year as an SDC teacher and have taught English, Math, Science and Transition classes. During my time at Manteca High School, I have also served as the Head Varsity Baseball Coach.
Scott Spitsen
This is my twenty-third year here at MHS as a Special Needs - Resource Specialist. Even though the years here have been a challenging experience, the years here have just flown by. Thank you and go Buffs!

This is my 18th year as an educator, but before I started teaching, I worked at a correctional facility, psychiatric facility, non-public school, and in alternative education. I currently teach Essential English and serve as the Fire Within Bible Club Advisor.
