With over 30 years of experience in libraries, Mrs. Buchanan is passionate about fostering a love for learning and providing support to our students and staff. Currently serving as the Library Media Technician at Manteca High School, she strives to help individuals whenever and wherever possible.

Mrs. Buchanan’s philosophy centers around the belief that libraries are vital spaces for inquiry and growth. She takes great joy in answering questions and guiding others on their educational journeys. As a proud graduate of Manteca High School, Mrs. Buchanan is dedicated to giving back to the MHS community.

Before becoming the teacher librarian in 2021, I was an English and ELD teacher for 17 years. Now I support student literacy by working to build a collection that represents every student on campus. I also work with classes on research, sources, writing, and the ethical use of artificial intelligence. Stop by and see me in the library for a safe place to hang out, for help with homework, for research help, or for a great book.
